The month before, Rely on Horror reported that multiple sources had stated Konami had partnered with Sony's Japan Studio to Elyon Gold create a revival in Silent Hill. Silent Hill series. They also were reportedly making plans to revive the cancelled Silent Hills game with Kojima Productions. Apparently, the latter was meant to be a narrative-focused Telltale-like game, much like Until Dawn.
Silent Hills was created by Kojima Productions in collaboration with the renowned movie director Guillermo del Toro and actor Norman Reedus. It was, however, cancelled just a few months before Kojima's departure from Konami. After Kojima and Reedus worked together in Death Stranding, Norman Reedus has revealed that he's in talks about an additional project together with Kojima but hasn't stated anything more.
Rely on Horror asked for more information, particularly regarding the possibility of a reboot and Silent Hills revival, but Konami provided no further response. It seems that Konami might be considering revisiting this Silent Hill franchise at some point, but not in the way that it is rumored. It is likely that Konami will make more details on the speculations soon.
Elyon released a roadmap for 2022 in video format and, while I've only read the piece and haven't yet watched the film, I'm beginning to think it could be something I should revisit when the modifications are released.
For me, I'd only play casually because it still has systems I think would frustrate me should I attempt to play more serious. With the inclusion of a PvE channel and a less painful advancement gear system rune slot change and cheap Elyon Gold other character advancement systems that are account-wide, it could be a good game to try when I'm just looking to play a bit of casual grinding.
