In the event that Diablo 4 gets that right and offers a similar loot game mechanic to D2R Items that was in Diablo 3, then we're already worried about just how much time we're going to be spending playing. Diablo 3's disaster is arguably the best chance that has ever happened to the series on a continual basis. If you pair it alongside the Immortal controversy, it appears like Blizzard has a pretty straightforward strategy for avoiding potholes should it want to remain on the right side of it's best players.

The Diablo 3 community is very vocal about what they don't like and has been through the course of Diablo 3, so we're hopeful that Blizzard will take it into consideration from those who were able to play huge portions of the game prior to release. But we'd bet Blizzard isn't thrilled by the tidal wave of leaked footage that seems to follow after one of these test results.

One aspect to Diablo 3 that is confirmed that it will be back is the time-limited Seasons. These are post-game pieces of content that refresh the ways legendary items function and alter the game's content of the base game and add replayability to a game that's already incredibly replayable. Seasons were included for a significant amount throughout Diablo 3, so we're hoping they'll also become a major focus in Diablo 4.

This seasonal approach can also set Diablo 4 up to be another captivating Game Pass game, should the merger end up closing. A game such as Diablo with solid gameplay is the ideal choice for a service that is designed for players to pop back into online games following a few months. But, with the game set to launch in June, and the war for Activision's future Activision still well underway it's one of the games that is very unlikely to receive Game Pass treatment on day one. Game Pass treatment on day one, unless something radically alters.

If we had a bet on the outcome, we'd suggest that the plan for Diablo 4 , is once the game finally launches, players in the community that were angry in the past, and rightly so about Diablo Immortal can relax and think "oh yeah, this is Best place to buy D2R items."
