Even though Diablo 2 is one of the most highly regarded PC games of all time, some of its content appears to have never been released to the public. Blizzard's history, as well as the history of PC gaming, is marked by the release of Diablo 2, which many consider to be the pinnacle of the franchise. Following up with one of his fans on Twitter, Brevik confirmed that a second Diablo 2 expansion was in the works at some point, providing an extensive design document that detailed new classes and areas as well as gameplay mechanics and story concepts. However, that was the extent of the project's success, as the expansion was shelved shortly after.
On top of that, Brevik was also working on a Diablo 3 remake and another, as yet unannounced project at the time.
Even though Brevik didn't go into great detail about what the second expansion would have entailed, he did drop a hint about having a copy of the design document in his possession. It would be interesting to see the design document, though it is currently unclear whether Brevik has any plans to share it with Diablo fans, as he stated only that he can neither confirm nor deny anything when pressed.

Vicarious Visions, a studio best known for its remakes, was recently dissolved by Activision and absorbed into Blizzard Entertainment, according to the company. Several days later, a report surfaced stating that the Vicarious Visions team would be taking over the development of the Diablo 2 remake as a result of the previous team's underwhelming performance with Warcraft 3 Reforged.
With any luck, Brevik's design documents will be made public, but for the time being, fans will have to make do with speculation. In the event that Diablo 2 is remade, seeing the expansion receive a full release could be interesting; however, without Brevik's support, it is likely that the cheap Diablo 2 resurrected ladder items (see here) will be far removed from what the original creator had in mind. To say nothing of the fact that Diablo 2 fans may prefer to see the game's original experience presented in its entirety.
Despite the fact that Brevik didn't go into great detail about what the second expansion would have entailed, he did hint that he had a copy of the design Diablo 2 items for sale in his possession, which was a significant hint to the investigation.
