One thing that players don't WoTLK Classic Gold have a say in, however, is what they'd like to do to move ahead with Wrath of the Lich King at all. It's different from the release of Burning Crusade Classic, where Blizzard allowed players to choose of remaining on what they call "Classic Era" servers or progressing them into The Burning Crusade, all current Burning Crusade Classic servers will be automatically converted into Wrath of the Lich King Classic servers once the expansion's launch. Although Burning Crusade servers won't exist after Wrath King Classic's launch, Blizzard has left the door open for a possible return to this expansion in the future.

"As to what will happen after Wrath of the Lich King We'd like to get feedback from our people in the community," Zierhut said. "This whole project has been community driven, this whole project came to be due to the requests of the community. Therefore, we would like to hear what the community wants to hear about next...We have our own ideas but the viewpoints of the people in the community can aid us in making better decisions."

Wrath of the Lich King Classic is set to release in 2022. Blizzard recently unveiled the latest expansion of the modern edition of Dragonflight, Dragonflight. The game's ninth expansion, it will add the brand new variety-based Evoker class (which also features a new dragon race) as well as the new buy WoTLK Classic Gold Dragon Isles continent, and redesign a range of "evergreen" methods like professions and skills. Dragonflight is scheduled to be released "when it's finished."
