Alaska Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Flights Booking
You can book unaccompanied flights on Alaska Airlines online. After receiving the required travel information and proof of age, they will book your flight.
Before you can book your child's tickets, there are some guidelines and restrictions that you must follow. These are the restrictions:
Alaska Airlines has a limit on the number of minors traveling unaccompanied. This is due to the safety and security of children who travel alone, without an adult.
Flights departing between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. will not be permitted to be booked by unaccompanied minors
Unaccompanied minors will not be allowed to travel on the final connecting flight of the day unless there are other options.
Traveling alone with children aged 5-7 years old will not be permitted on flights that involve connections or transfers
Children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old may travel alone on flights that involve connections or transfers to Alaska Airlines, Ravn Alaska or PenAir flights, Horizon Air flights, SkyWest Flight Series 3300-34999
Traveling with unaccompanied minors on flights that have connections lasting more than 2 hours will be prohibited. Only links of greater than 2 hours are allowed if the city has no less than 2-hour connections

Airport security may require that unaccompanied minors be seated at another gate.
To accompany the minor unaccompanied from the airport gate, the parent or guardian must obtain an escort card at the ticket counter. The security checkpoint will allow the unaccompanied minor to accompany up to two adults and children under 13 years of age.
A parent or guardian must drop off unaccompanied minors. They must remain in the boarding area up until departure and landing.
A valid government-issued photo ID will be required by the parent or legal guardian who is coming to pick up an unaccompanied minor at the airport. The guardian contact form will only allow the child to be released to the named or listed person.
