The OMG! Fund competition set out to select 100 teams to design, deliver and host a ‘jaw-dropping’ structure to provide overnight accommodation for customers using the online platform, which was founded 15 years ago and has an annual revenue of around $4.81 billion (£3.92 billion).
Professional and aspiring architects and designers were invited to draw up ‘offbeat’ concepts for the $10 million (£8.14 million) competition. The winning concepts will be listed in the website’s OMG! category, featuring 30,000 unique holiday homes.
