Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUOMS) is one of the most famous medical universities in Iran, affiliated to the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education. It is a public medical university in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. The university, established in 1946, is the second oldest medical school in the country. TUOMS has always been actively involved in research, health and treatment in addition to academic activities. Tabriz Institution of Medical Sciences (TUOMS) is a state university located in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. With around 5000 students, it is rated as one of the best medical schools in Iran. The university's eleven faculties include Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Paramedical Sciences, Health, Nutrition and Food Sciences, Rehabilitation, Nursing and Midwifery, Health Administration and Medical Informatics, Advanced Medical Sciences and Traditional Medicine.

The basic science disciplines of Tabriz Medicine include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry Genetics, Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology, Clinical Physics and Social Medicine. Internal Medicine (except Cardiology), Cardiology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, Dermatology, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynecology Medicine is housed in university-affiliated hospitals.
Tabriz Faculty of Pharmacy (also known as Tabriz Pharmacy School) is recognized as the second-best pharmacy school in the country. It is a PhD.
