Founded in 1946, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences is one of the oldest medical universities in Iran. The University was acquired by the Government of Iran to provide MBBS in Iran to all medical aspirants. Its purpose is to use national medical resources in the most desirable way to improve health care and teaching and research.

Currently, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and Research Program has more than 9000 students studying various medical programs including MBBS.

STUDENT LIFE

Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS) offers well-furnished on-campus accommodation to registered students. Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided with all facilities like shared bedrooms, bathrooms, wardrobes, tables and chairs, laundry facilities, internet and mess facilities.
