The final small patch for WoW Shadowlands went live on May 31, and it brings some major changes to the world of Azeroth. World of Warcraft's 9.2.5 update hopes to change that by encrypting most of its content and disallowing players to experience it before everyone else. Instead, PTR is largely focused on testing cross-faction gameplay, with story elements shrouded in mystery. Now the player has some information. It's been made clear that 9.2.5 will add cross-faction gameplay, but it's never been mentioned that players will also get three different questlines, including cutscenes and the long-awaited Hunter Dark Ranger customization. Cross-Faction Gameplay

The biggest feature of 9.2.5 is the introduction of cross-faction instances. After 18 years of hatred, World of Warcraft players can finally team up, no matter which faction they choose. They can go to the barbershop and give their elf white skin and red eyes, or they can create a whole new character and start leveling up the Dark Ranger. They can also go to the Hunter Class Order Hall and purchase a Dark Ranger Transmog set to complete the look.

More Heritage Armor

Blizzard introduced traditional armor in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth and has been expanding it ever since. Each allied race gets their Heritage Armor at level 50, and core races with Heritage Armor get them when they reach max level and are worshipped by their race. In the past, both blood elves and dark iron dwarves have received heritage armor, but Blizzard chose to expand these armors in 9.2.5 and add more for players to collect.

Players who complete the Blood Elf Legacy Armor questline can now pursue another set of Legacy armor. After completing an interesting questline involving the Scourge of the Undead, Blood Elf players can unlock the new Chocobo mount and Blood Knight transmog set. Dark Iron players can unlock a new Grimhowl's Face Axe mount and a set of weapon transmogs that matches their already unlocked Legacy Set. These new unlocks will improve players' ability to customize their characters to their liking, which is always a win for an MMO.

New Campaign Chapters

One of the biggest additions in 9.2.5 is the addition of three new campaign chapters with in-game cutscenes. Most players think the Shadowlands story is over in 9.2 Eternal's End and they won't get more of it before the Dragonflight pre-patch event, but Blizzard has other plans.
