In the movie that plays at the end of the raid, the Jailer, aka Zovaal, lies in a state of defeat. While kneeling, he recalls the events that led to WoTLK Gold his exile. He also recollects an incident in which the Primus asked what led Zovaal's actions to betray the Shadowlands and to attempt to alter the process in the realm of afterlife. His answer?
"A cosmos split won't be able to endure the future," Zovaal says defiantly. He then fades away in the present, to be replaced by a mechanical shell of his previous self. The gateway to the Shadowlands over Icecrown Citadel closes. The film's final scene.
If players were hoping for an idea of where the future expansion (set to release this coming April 19) would have them go, this motion picture disappointing film doesn't deliver. The film also delivers an unsatisfactory end to what has been the most resentful villain and the expansion overall.
Zovaal is long been created as the ultimate villain, with Blizzard having created the character to be the true author of massive chunks of World of Warcraft lore, including Arthas turning into the Lich King to the making of the planet-destroying Burning Legion. People have often wondered what his motivations are as a result. The idea that Zovaal's huge-bad 4D-chess plot be solely just to set up a previously unheard of villain in the background (a position that the Jailer was a part of for several expansions) is a disservice to what could have been an intriguing villain.
Instead, the Jailer is more or less an escalator to greater, more dangerous enemy, which makes the fact that he's now closely tied to some of the most important World of Warcraft -universe defining moments even more difficult for those who love the game.
The movie that revealed the fate of Zovaal is one of two movies that occur at the time of The Sepulcher of the First Ones raid in the second one, which involves Alliance Zovaal's king, who has turned into his henchmen Anduin Wrynn. The cinematic left viewers in buy WoTLK Gold awe, especially regarding how it dealt with the iconic World of Warcraft villain Arthas.
