NBA 2k23 is a much-needed course correction for the franchise , with MT 2K23 improved gameplay, greater immersion in MyCareer with the introduction of new Seasons and much more. After a somewhat underwhelming outing in the past, NBA 2K is back with a far more robust edition of NBA 2k23.

2k23 shines brightest on the court, which is the essential aspect, but it is a victim of excessively bloated hubs in its most popular mode of MyCareer. The W also feels like more of an afterthought than fully-fledged modes, but at least it's improved with the visual and gameplay improvements.

It's still a blast to play. There are plenty of opportunities for players in MyCareer, MyTeam, and the extensive League and GM modes which make up for the negatives of The City on current-gen consoles and The Neighborhood on last-gen.

At the core, the aspect of whether or not an entry within the NBA 2K franchise is lies with how good it feels to play the basketball game. Fortunately, despite the long delay for the reveal of the game the game will be enjoyable, regardless of whether it's an NBA game in MyCareer or a pick-up game in the hubs, or an actual game of Domination playing in MyTeam.

The gameplay of 2k23 is more detailed and enjoyable than its predecessors. The subtle adjustments in stamina drain, to changes to the shot meter, and new badges added to MyCareer and MyTeam It all blends with the stunning visuals that 2K has earned its reputation to create something that will be remembered.

Like previous games, NBA 2k23 was looking for new additions to improve the experience of players, such as introducing new events in MyTeam and introducing a brand newly-created Seasonal Quest feature to MyCareer and also introducing new features for players who want to grow their profile within The City.

Some of the new features don't meet their goals and, even with the enhancements to the MyCareer hubs, they appear bloated and unfulfilling at times. Despite this, there is still enough variety to this trip of 2K features to keep busy for hours on end.

The 2K series has been steadily adding other non-basketball-related elements, such as for instance, the Gatorade practice facility cruising on skateboards, or grabbing a cup of coffee in The City.
